Solar ATAP (Solar Accelerated Transition Action Programme) is Malaysia's new rooftop solar programme that replaced NEM on 1 January 2026. Key differences: ATAP has no national quota (NEM ran out frequently), applications are open all year, and you enjoy a 10-year contract. You still export surplus electricity to TNB as energy-only bill credits. If you were on NEM, your existing contract remains valid — you can keep it or switch to ATAP.
EzSolar is Emit Solar's financing plan — you pay RM0 upfront. The system is installed at no cost, and you pay a fixed low monthly fee for 5 or 10 years. Your monthly payment is designed to be lower than your TNB savings, so you save from day one. Once the plan ends, the system is fully yours — and you continue enjoying free solar for the remaining 20+ year system lifespan.
We handle 100% of the paperwork — including the Solar ATAP application with SEDA, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) registration, and TNB interconnection and meter upgrade. You only need to sign the agreement. This is typically a 4–8 week process from signing to system activation.
Most landed Malaysian homes are excellent candidates. Ideal conditions include a roof facing south, east, or west with minimal shading, at least 200 sq ft of usable roof space, and a monthly TNB bill above RM200. Standard grid-tied systems (without battery) will shut down during blackouts for safety reasons. However, if you add the Huawei LUNA2000 battery storage, your system automatically switches to backup mode within milliseconds of a blackout — keeping your lights, fridge, WiFi, and essential appliances running 24/7.
Physical installation by our CIDB G7 team takes 1–2 days for most homes. The full process — from assessment to TNB activation — typically takes 4–8 weeks, including SEDA and TNB approval periods. We keep you updated at every stage and manage all follow-ups on your behalf.

Under Solar ATAP 2026, any surplus energy your system generates (after home use) is automatically exported to the TNB grid. You receive energy-only bill credits at the prevailing retail tariff rate.
